Installing GBoard
1. Open the Play Store app
2. Scroll and find the app Gboard – The Google Keyboard
3. Select it and then Install
Setting Gboard as default keyboard
1. Press the home button and swipe up to get to all apps
2. Go into the Settings app and scroll down to find General Management
3. Select Keyboard list and default
4. Toggle the Gboard keyboard on
5. Select Ok on the pop up notifying you that data might be saved (we’ll undo that setting in a bit!)
6. Click on the words Gboard to open settings
7. Find Advanced
8. Untoggle Share usage statistics and Improve voice and typing for everyone
9. Click the back arrow twice to return to Keyboard list and default
10. Click Default Keyboard and select Gboard
Send Test Email or Text
1. Open a text message or a new email and try typing to open the keyboard
2. Click the microphone to do voice-to-text and when the permissions pop up, select While Using App
3. You are all set!
