Orders - Changing Physician on Approved 485

If the 485 order hasn't been signed yet, you can skip to the second section of steps.

Before you can change the Primary Physician on an approved order, you need to remove the physician's signature:

1. Search for the patient in Clinical Input, then right click, Medical records > Orders.
2. Select the order you need to update.
3. Click the Process button.
4. Remove the signature date.
5. Click Save & Close.

 

Once the signature has been removed, the Edit Physician on Approved 485 button should be ungrayed.  To change the physician:

1. From the Order Console, select the order row.
2. Click Edit.
3. Select Yes to confirm you with to change to the approved order.
4. At the bottom of the General Info tab (may need to scroll down), click Edit Physician on Approved 485.
5. Update to the correct physician.
6. Click Save.
