Prepare your laptop for Pennant Transition
**Must
complete before your specific date. Submit a Zoho ticket if you have questions!
Follow these steps to ensure your laptop has a smooth
transition to being a Pennant laptop.
Save
my files
**ANY FILES NOT UPLOADED TO ONEDRIVE WILL BE DELETED!!**
Confirm you are logged into OneDrive on your laptop & syncing
1. On the bottom right, near the date/time, click
on the blue cloud icon. Confirm it shows “Your files are synced”
at the top (see Figure 1)
2. If it asks you to log in again, click Log In and follow the prompts; may require Authenticator
3. If
you don’t see a blue cloud, click the Start button and search for OneDrive.
Open the OneDrive App (see Figure 2)

Confirm Folders are set to sync
- Open the File Explorer (manila envelope
folder icon)
- Navigate to the below folders & confirm
there is a “Status” icon next to the file name.
- Desktop
- Documents
- Pictures
- No icon means they aren’t syncing. To turn on syncing for that folder, see steps below
- Note: The Downloads folder does NOT sync.
Move files from Downloads to a synced folder to save those files
- Turning on Sync for Desktop, Documents, or Pictures folder: (see Figure 3)
- Click on the blue cloud icon for OneDrive
- Select the Gear icon then click Settings
- Click Manage Backup
- Toggle on the folders you want to sync
- Save Changes

Download Bookmarks & Saved Passwords
Chrome
– (see Figure 4 & 5)
1. Open a Chrome window, click the three dots in the top right
2. Select Passwords and autofill, then Google
Password Manager
3. Click Settings on the left
4. Click Download File next to Export
passwords
5. It will ask for your laptop password to confirm
you are a good person
6. Save to your OneDrive folder
7. Next, bookmarks (Figure 5)
8. Click the three dots in the top right
9. Select Bookmarks and lists, then Bookmark
Manager
10. Click
the three dots in the right side of Bookmark manager, then select Export
Bookmarks
11. Save the file to your OneDrive folder

Edge –
1. Open an Edge window, click the three dots in the top right
2. Select Settings then Passwords near the bottom
3. Click the three dots on the top right
4. Click Export passwords, then click Export
passwords again on the pop-up
5. It will ask for your laptop password to confirm
you are a good person
6. Save to your OneDrive folder
7. Next, bookmarks
8. Click the three dots in the top right
9. Select Favorites
10. Click
the three dots in the right side of the Favorites bar, then select Export
Bookmarks
11. Save
the file to your OneDrive folder
